MOMENTS - Unity film pre-production 2020-2021

My Art Direction / 3D Concept Design work for the proposed Unity-based movie "Moments" where two androids in love try to escape a dystopian factory world.

I was tasked with the Art Direction for the project.
My contribution revolved around moodboarding, idea generation, 2D/3D mockups and mechanical design.
Ideally most of the 3D work was to be handed over to the team after the greenlighting.

The focus on the initial phases was defining a base silhouette for both protagonists and foes.
After all they're meant to come from the same factory.

Legs' basic functionality.
I would do everything different now but it was a great challenge back then.

Mechanical detailing.
Again, I would work differently now with a more "form follows function" approach and a more refined visual direction.

Initial exploration for the enemies.
I would go "bigger" and more varied if I were to start today.

I am pretty happy with the structure of the world.

At this stage I read the script multiple times to make sure of the plausibility of in-world distances relative to time elapsed.
